Immersion Sturgeon Waterproof Contact Microphone
The Immersion Sturgeon returneth!
We added a layer of silicone "skin" to our Classic Noir microphone component, creating a hydrophone for all of your sub-marine needs. While this type of mic won't pick up enemy sonar or whale songs, the waterproofing will allow for the contact mic to be submerged, dragged through mud puddles, frozen & thawed, or served with mixed drinks. The cable options (4.5 foot or 6 foot lengths) provide enough wiggle room for aquatic experiments without getting your gear wet.
(PLEASE please please be careful using this. Electronics and water do not play well together. The user assumes responsibility!)
Input styles and variations are listed below. Keep in mind that the TRS option is basically "double mono", and not true stereo.
PS. Occasionally the silicone we use for waterproofing will tint the piezo element. Do not be alarmed!
