Micro Bite Contact Microphone (Beta Series)
The Micro Bite is a beta variant of our original Tiny Bite Contact Microphone. We'd accidentally ordered a weird 3.5mm jack for an entirely different product line. After fiddling around we realized they fit into an alligator clip - the kind featured in the aforementioned Tiny Bite. Shoring everything up with silicone and burly heat shrink, the Micro Bite was born.
And so there you have it. The Micro Bite has a set of jaws perfect for grabbing springs, wires, and detritus. The 3.5mm jack effortlessly sends the sonic findings to tape recorders, beepy-boopy gear, and in a pinch can be adapted to standard quarter inch cable. Here's a quick video:
The Micro Bite is a part of our beta series. These are microphones, devices, and prototypes that we're working on, experimenting with, and might shelve for whatever reason. Beta units can be quirky - featuring new parts, weird components, or just look a bit odd. As a result they're sold as is. In the case of the Micro Bite, while we used a trusted company, we cannot attest to the durability of this particular jack.
