Wedgie Mini Mono Contact Microphone
Wedgie is two faced piezoelectric creature designed for amplifying sneaky crevices and all manner of acoustic objects & devices. Similar to our Mini Mono SP, Wedgie is terminated to a 1/8" jack and is a plug and play contact microphone. Wedgie's big difference are in its two piezos, each measuring 3.5 cm, terminated to form a tapered point. A blob of silicone reinforces the microphone elements, making it a sturdy ally in live performance and field recording.
Wedgie's double disc design allows for all sorts of opportunities in amplifying unusual sources. We've wedged our Wedgie in countless environments where our other contact mics wouldn't go: underneath stringed instrument bridges, in between tree branches, snuggled in the tines of a chimney sweeping brush, and even as a door stopper - on a creaky wooden floor, of course! The monophonic 1/8" jack lets one plug their Wedgie into dictaphones, Eurorack, digital recorders, and can be easily adapted to standard quarter inch plugs.
Here's a quick video showcasing Wedgie's sonic timbres and shapeliness.
And in this demo, Test Dept Lad showcases Wedgie's prowess as a super sensitive piezo pressure trigger in a Eurorack setup.
We would be remiss not to say: pick your Wedgie today!
Like all our plug-in devices, Wedgie does not come with a cable or adapters.
