Plug ME / Micro Edition Contact Microphone

Well, whaddya know...
It's tiny, that's what. But size isn't everything.

Here we have the Plug ME / Micro Edition Contact Mic. Measuring in at a walloping 20mm in diameter, the Plug ME could very well be our smallest microphone. The Micro Edition is terminated to a mini 1/8" (3.5mm) jack and is approximately the size of a chunky breath mint. A smidge of silicone toughens up its inner workings, topped off with a heat shrink shell.

The Plug ME is a plug-and-play microphone - all it needs is a cable and an amplifier to get it up and running. That said, we have found that it also excels in a variety of setups requiring a smaller diameter contact mic - from clandestine field recording and lofi cassette endeavors, to modular mayhem and junk anthems. And don't be fooled by its size! The Micro Edition is quite capable of delivering that big, big sound despite its diminutive appearance. Keep in mind that the Plug ME in the photos features our prototype model - your mic will not come with scratches, glue globs, and claw marks!
