Depth Charge Gamelan Shaker Box
Shake?
Why yes, of course. The Depth Charge Gamelan has finally arrived to Big Cartel. Having undergone several facelifts and iterations over the decade, we could never bring ourselves to dropping the original DCG from our lineup. It just seemed to keep on keeping on, as the saying goes. And for good reason, we realized: it's easy to use and is a fantastic entry point into any noise-person's pedal chain or setup.
The Depth Charge Gamelan is housed in our standard issue 3 x 2 x 1 inch plastic project box. It features a kill switch, spring resonator, and is terminated to a quarter inch jack. We cram a bunch of pebbles and ball bearings in its gizzard, giving it all the ballast required for maximum shakiness. All you gotta do is plug the DCG into a distortion pedal and you're off and running, peeling the proverbial paint off the walls with the slightest tremor. And ya know? Having dusted off ours, it turns out we still fall in love the damn thing, as it pairs perfectly with everything from practice amps to modular synthesizers.
Here's a quick video. The DCG is running through a Landscape HC-TT, Behringer Fuzz, and Danelectro EQ. A split output adds the no-input feedback squeal (we couldn't help ourselves).
The DCG ships within 1-2 weeks upon receiving payment. Button colors are likely to vary from the photos, and, like all our devices featuring jacks, it does not ship with cables or adapters.
